It is recommended to remove the smart water valve before the onset of frost, i.e., before the start of winter when temperatures are expected to drop below 0 °C. Reason: water inside the valve can freeze and cause damage to the device. If you do not remove it, it is recommended to empty it, remove the batteries, and disconnect it from the water supply to prevent damage.
